Insurance is a valuable tool that can protect your clients from risks of many different types of losses.  However, your client may not be able to recover all applicable insurance benefits if you are not familiar with the common types of commercial insurance coverages that may apply to their risks of loss.  Delays may turn into dollars lost.

This program will provide practical instruction regarding common‒and some not so common‒types of commercial insurance coverages and polices so that timely action can be taken to preserve your client’s rights.  The program will explain the basic principles of coverages that apply to losses suffered by a business when real or personal property is damaged or destroyed and when claims or lawsuits are made against the business, its owners or its employees.

Help your clients plan ahead.  You can work with them to identify risks of loss and insurance that may indemnity them for losses or cover the costs of defense.  This knowledge is also valuable when reviewing and drafting the insurance requirements in contracts.  Some risks of loss may be transferred to the insurers of other parties at no cost to your client if they are carefully addressed in insurance policies in force before the event occurs that triggers the insurance coverage.
