The panelists will outline how to litigate an elder abuse case from both the plaintiff and defense perspective from the beginning, including determining which cases to accept and avoid, through trial.  The panelists will provide keen insight into necessary discovery, including which depositions to take and which experts to retain, issues that are specific to elder abuse cases including the burden of proof, and damages.  County Counsel will provide insight into financial elder abuse, Adult Protective Services and cases that the County brings on behalf of conserved individuals.
