Judge Emede will discuss the basic law governing family law domestic violence requests and the basic law governing criminal domestic violence charges.  Judge Emede will also address the impact in family court when a litigant is facing or has been convicted of a criminal domestic violence offense, and the impact in criminal court when a defendant has a pending family law case.
