Behind Closed Doors: Working with DV Survivors and Perpetrators Involved in Litigation (including in more Affluent Communities) 

This 3-hour seminar will discuss the dynamics and types of Intimate Partner Violence with a focus on the abuse of power and control including:

  • How it plays out in litigation and the courtroom;
  • Trauma, what is it;
  • Impact on victim survivors and children,  including in child custody cases;
  • Trauma informed considerations for working with  survivors and perpetrators; and,
  • Women SV - dynamics of abuse perpetrated by more affluent, highly educated, influential, powerful perpetrators, and special considerations in working with their victims.
