  Ms. Lori Costanzo has been a force in the legal field since her admission to the State Bar of California in 1989. Initially, she worked as an insurance defense attorney in SF at Morton Bennet and Lacy; She then worked for Branson Fitzgerald and Howard in Redwood City. In 1996, Lori moved to San Jose and began working for Mitchell, Stock and Burrow. Lori has gained significant litigation and trial experience practicing insurance defense. In 2009, Lori partnered with Lance Burrow practicing plaintiff and defense litigation, after which she started Costanzo Law Firm, APC in 2011. Costanzo Law Firm is a general civil litigation firm with an emphasis in employment law.

Since founding the Costanzo Law Firm, Lori has had the opportunity to work on many meaningful cases for workers within her community, including the notable and CAOC-nominated case of Coates v. Farmers. Lori is an award finalist for 2017 CAOC Attorney of the Year for her role in Coates case, which was a successful pay discrimination class action lawsuit brought against Farmers Insurance by its female attorney-employees, who allege that they were paid less than their male counterparts for doing similar work.

Lori is passionate about involvement in her legal community, has given her time for the mentorship and education of others by speaking at skill-development seminars and teaching Advanced Legal Writing at Santa Clara University School of Law. She is an active member of numerous organizations focused on the betterment of laypersons, workers, and lawyers alike in Santa Clara County, including the Executive Committee for Board of Trustees of the SCCBA, an Executive Member for Women Lawyer’s Section of the SCCBA, an Executive Member for Employment Section of the SCCBA, SCCTLA Women Lawyers of CA, the CAOC, and CELA.
